Tonight we are presenting some favourite pieces from past concerts. Though impossible
to do justice to the variety of our repertoire, we are showcasing some pieces which have
enjoyed repeated airing, and some from successful stage productions.
We are particularly pleased to welcome our founding Music Director, Dr. Dean Patterson, as
a guest conductor of works which we learned in the earliest years – in particular the last 2
triumphant choruses from St. John Passion, and our first secular piece “Andy’s Gone with
Cattle”. We are also delighted to welcome some past Chorale members, many of whom have
returned to Darwin from interstate just for this Anniversary weekend. We are going to enjoy
singing together again, and hope you enjoy this celebratory evening.
